(Montreal) The Council of Ministers proceeded to the appointment Wednesday evening of Denis Marsolais as president and chief executive officer of the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ).
Mr. Marsolais held the position of Public Curator of Quebec since May 16, 2018.
He will take up his new position as of January 17, succeeding Nathalie Tremblay, who had held this position for a little over a decade.
“I would like to thank Nathalie Tremblay for her important contribution to the SAAQ. His rigor, his passion and his human qualities will have marked his 11 years of presidency. We wish him a happy retirement, ”said the Minister of Transport, François Bonnardel, in a press release.
In addition to administering the public automobile insurance plan that protects all Quebecers against bodily injury, the SAAQ is responsible for registering vehicles, issuing driver’s licenses and supervising schools. driving. It also manages access to the road network and monitors and controls the road transport of people and goods.

Before being appointed CEO of the SAAQ, Denis Marsolais was not only a notary and public curator of Quebec, but he also acted as deputy minister at the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Transport, sustainable mobility and electrification of transport.
