For nearly twenty years, Denis Brogniart has been making perfect love with Hortense, whom he married in 2007. Together, they had three daughters: twins Lili and Violette (born in 2005) and Blanche (born in 2006). And it was during a filming of Koh Lanta that the 54-year-old presenter discovered the pregnancy of his last. An anecdote told on the airwaves of Fun Radio, in the Cartman show, on February 17, 2022.
It was in 2003 that the eyes of Denis Brogniart and Hortense crossed for the first time. The presenter of Koh Lanta (since 2002) went to the premises of LCI for a replacement in the sports department. He met Hortense there, who worked there. And between them, the current immediately passed. He offered her to come to Panama to work on the next edition of TF1’s adventure show, a proposal she accepted. The rest, everyone knows. They got married and had children. On the other hand, the public was probably unaware that it was during a filming of Koh Lanta that he discovered that his wife was pregnant with Blanche.
When she no longer worked for the show, Hortense happened to come for a few days to find Denis Brogniart. And during the filming of Koh Lanta: Vanuatu (aired in 2006), she found out she was pregnant with Blanche. “We learned that my wife was pregnant with the youngest, Blanche, on a set in Vanuatu. I went to get the pregnancy test at the pharmacy in Vanuatu, gave it to my wife and she saw that she was pregnant. Except that my wife, who is never completely reassured, told me that she wanted to do another test to be sure. So I went back there and the pharmacist had spotted me since I didn’t look like Vanuatu and she said to me: ‘Have you already had a test, do you have two pregnant women?‘”, he told Cartman and his team. Denis Brogniart replied that only his wife was pregnant, before asking how many tests were left. After learning that there were only two and that the pharmacy wouldn’t be restocked anytime soon, he bought it all in. A few months later, they were blessed to welcome their third daughter into the family.
