Prime Minister François Legault is opposed to the Trudeau government decreeing the Emergency Measures Act on Quebec territory.

“Now is not the time to add fuel to the fire,” said Mr. Legault.
Ottawa is considering triggering the Emergency Measures Act in response to protests in Ontario. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is scheduled for an update at 4:30 p.m.
