What a demonstration! The Jumbo-Visma blew everything up in the last bump of the stage, Tuesday July 5, on the Tour de France. She propelled her yellow jersey, Wout van Aert, to a solo victory. More powerful and at ease on the coast of Cap Blanc-Nez, led by Nathan Van Hooydonck and Tiesj Benoot, the Belgian made his talent speak and disgusted the competition. He is eight seconds ahead of a small peloton, in which Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) got the better of Christophe Laporte (Jumbo-Visma) in the sprint.

Incredible Wout van Aert! After three second places, the yellow jersey offers itself a first success in this Tour de France 2022! He will have been able to resist the return of the peloton after his coup in Cap Blanc-Nez.

After three second places in as many stages, Van Aert reversed the trend with style. He now has a 25-second lead in the general classification over Yves Lampaert (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl), and 32 over Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates), who failed to keep pace with the Van Aert rocket.

If the stage was led by Magnus Cort Nielsen (EF Education-Easy Post) who reinforced his polka dot jersey and by Anthony Perez (Cofidis), the combative of the day, it was the Jumbo-Visma who took all the light. In the last kilometers, while the 900 meters at 7.5% from Cap Blanc-Nez did not necessarily have anything to fear, the Dutch team made an impression by moving up a gear.

We were waiting for the ascent of Cap Blanc-Nez, it kept all its promises! Helped by Tiesj Benoot, Wout van Aert blew up all the favorites with monstrous acceleration. Only Adam Yates and Jonas Vingegaard were able to follow at first but they could not keep up with the Belgian who flew to the stage victory.

Voi Nathan Van Hooydonck then Tiesj Benoot launch Jumbo-Visma recalls the first stage of Paris-Nice. Christophe Laporte then took the yellow jersey after a great breakaway from a trio featuring Primoz Roglic and Wout van Aert.

Facing Van Aert, Roglic and Vingegaard gradually gave in. Tadej Pogacar was not even among the first when the pace picked up. In the clan of favorites, only Adam Yates (Ineos Grenadiers) was able to resist.
