Democratic Convention | Show of Force

(Chicago) From Milwaukee to Chicago, the most popular Democratic figures of the day, from Kamala Harris to Barack Obama to Michelle Obama, gave the second night of their party’s national convention the air of an unprecedented show of political force Tuesday.

In Milwaukee, the first city in the swing state of Wisconsin, Kamala Harris spoke at the Fiserv Forum, the same amphitheater where Donald Trump was sworn in as the Republican presidential candidate on July 18. Delivered to a sold-out crowd of more than 15,000, her speech was broadcast in part on the giant screens of the United Center, where she had just been nominated as the Democratic presidential candidate.

Kamala Harris will have managed to fill two lecture halls in one evening, a feat likely to further shake the confidence of her Republican rival, who seems obsessed with crowd size.
