Naturally, this 2021 edition of the British Fashion Awards paid tribute to stylist Virgil Abloh, who died last Sunday at the age of 41, from cancer. A pioneer of men’s fashion at Louis Vuitton, and the first black artistic director of a major French luxury brand, he was named “leader of change” and received praise throughout the evening. As AFP reports, a minute of silence was observed at the start of the ceremony.
