Delphine Revault on the inauguration of a platform in the name of her ex-companion: “it touches me enormously”

The Choice of France Bleu Occitanie is to give the floor to Delphine Revault, the ex-companion of Christophe Revault who died on May 6, 2021, and mother of his two children Joris and Julia (16 and 21 years old today). His speech is very rare. Delphine Revault will be present on Saturday at Toulouse with his two children for the Ligue 2 clash between the TFC and the Paris F.C. during which the Christophe Revault bend will be inaugurated. Christophe Revault played in Toulouse from 2000 to 2006, wearing the purple jersey more than 200 times.

Delphine Revault, does this initiative affect you?

Verry much. When the president of the TFC Damien Comolli sent us a letter some time ago it was a great pride for us.

What are your children feeling?

They are proud of their father’s career. They were both born in Toulouse, the youngest Joris did not see his father play much since he was 5 years old when he stopped. But they have seen and read many testimonies of his Toulouse epic. The children are delighted to see that, proud, and have always been happy to say that they were born in Toulouse.

They will be present on Saturday for the inauguration of the bend? They want to be there?

Yes of course ! Them first.

The TFC went down to National in 2001 and then went up partly thanks to him. What memories do you have of that time?

It’s not easy to sign in Ligue 1 and return to National. When the president at the time Olivier Sadran proposed this challenge to Christophe, our daughter Julia had just been born and had health problems. And he wanted to stay. With his teammates, William Prunier and Stéphane Lièvre, they bonded and decided to stay with President Sadran and the Pitchouns.

What does that say about his personality?

He wouldn’t have done anything to earn more. Above all, he wanted us to be good together.

Did you know that he was also appreciated by Toulouse supporters?

I knew that the two successive climbs marked but not to this extent. In particular, I found the mail of a supporter of the time. Very complimentary letter. It did me good to reread it.

The former goalkeeper died at the age of 49 almost a year ago at his home in Normandy. This inauguration will take place at halftime on Saturday in front of more than 25,000 people, in the presence of his family and former teammates.
