Sixteen months later, the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar remains a mystery. However, a motive took shape, supported by master Battikh, the lawyer of several relatives of the nurse who had confided in The Parisian : “Cédric Jubillar appears as a compulsively jealous husband who saw his wife escape him. Understanding that there was no turning back possible and that he could never win her back, he would have taken action.“For their part, the investigating judges are also closely interested in this thesis and have asked for a psychiatric expertise of this suspect number 1. It was carried out in the form of two interviews at the Seysses remand center on July 1 and October 6 and was added to the judicial file. The Parisian became aware of it and revealed some troubling aspects of it.
Behind bars, Cédric Jubillar proclaims his innocence. By the voice of his lawyers in general, but he also claimed it in his psychiatric expertise. How does he explain that his wife, mother devoted to his two children Louis and Elyah, as well as to his work, no longer gives a sign of life? He thinks that shegot out“, maybe in Spain. The painter-plasterer thinks that his departure is linked to the disintegration of their couple, which declared itself during the deconfinement of May 2020. He indicates that his wife would have resigned from her role : “I did the housework, the dishes and I did the laundry… She didn’t help me, she didn’t do anything anymore (…) From September on, she insulted me: asshole, shit, soc case, drug addict. .. faced with this, I laughed …“
In his investigative book The Jubillar Mystery, the journalist of Parisian Ronan Folgoas had also shed light on the issues the couple were experiencing – they were in divorce proceedings. The author had indeed been able to meet this ideal culprit and went to the outskirts of the Jubillar dwelling. A house like the symbol of Delphine’s “fed up”. She will also tell her husband a few months before his disappearance: “She makes it very clear that she is fed up with this life. She can’t take it anymore. This is where the expression comes in: ‘I’m fed up with this Bidochon house, this Bidochon life.’ An expression which for her characterizes this wobbly life that she has had with Cédric for years, which she had somehow accommodated herself to..”
Delphine Jubillar’s aunt had also made an intimate revelation during her hearing with the magistrates. “NOTWe notably learned during this audition that Delphine was doing separate room with her husband in the months preceding his disappearance. This element contradicts the account of Cédric Jubillar who affirms that the separation did not go so badly since, precisely, they would have continued to share the same bed”, explained master Battikh. Once again, Cédric Jubillar’s statements confuse and accentuate the fragile nature of his defense. Even his own mother doubts his innocence. However, in the absence of material evidence, conclusions cannot be drawn.
Cédric Jubillar remains presumed innocent of the charges against him until the final judgment of this case.
