Previously, employees of the Molson plant in Longueuil and the Montreal distribution center had walked off the job as of March 25. Then an agreement in principle was reached at the beginning of June.

This time, about 100 workers who are assigned to delivery and in warehouses across Quebec are involved.

These union members have just given themselves a strike mandate, in addition to rejecting the latest employer offers.

In both cases, these are local sections of the Teamsters union, which is affiliated with the FTQ.

Several points are in dispute, reports the Teamsters union, including the indexation of wages, schedules, the duration of the collective agreement, job guarantees and sick leave.
