The idea was born during confinement, in the midst of a pandemic, when football and sport were at a standstill, the stadiums were closed, and “that there was no longer any link between the player and the supporter“, explains Agathe Nicollin, co-founder of the platform.
At that time, the young woman and her partner Hugo Mathon imagine the construction of a virtual bridge to connect athletes and their fans, especially as “players are in great demand on social networks” and that they don’t “can not see all messages and reply to everyone“.
Between 10 and 40 euros: the sportsmen do not touch anything!
Several months of reflection, prospecting but also creation, and here is the birth of Aggolive: the first two letters of the first name Agathe, the last two of the first name Hugo. The concept: sell personalized videos of big names in sport, for the benefit of associations chosen by them, or from foundations, such as Orange Hope and Blue Dream MHSC or that of Stade Brestois striker Steve Mounié. Hugo Mathon thus underlines that “without knowing it, the buyer makes a donation to a noble cause”.
Accessible since October 21, the site currently offers the general public the opportunity to request around fifty athletes, in different disciplines, while the offer continues to expand, and makes it possible to offer to oneself or to a loved one “a gift 2.0”.
And the platform may have been created by the daughter of the current president of Montpellier Hérault, no question of limiting oneself to regional celebrities: “we do not want to target only the MHSC, we want to expand and target as many supporters as possible”.
A few clicks are enough
The buyer provides his first and last name and indicates the occasion for which he wishes to receive this video (birthday, wedding, bachelor party, thanks or personal announcement). The athlete then records the video, and remains free in his words, free to exceed the 300 characters allowed in the message posted by the buyer at the time of his order.
The amount to be paid is fixed according to the demand, the availability and the notoriety of the athlete but also in agreement with this one: 10 euros for boxer Jimmy Viennot, 25 euros for rugby player Benoît Paillaugue, 30 euros for Hérault footballer Téji Savanier or 40 euros for 98 world champion Robert Pirès.
