Decline in hospitalizations related to COVID-19 continues in Quebec

The number of hospitalizations linked to COVID-19 has fallen below 1,500 in Quebec for the first time since January 3. The province is also reporting 14 new deaths due to the coronavirus.

According to data from the Ministry of Health, the number of patients in hospitals due to the coronavirus has increased from 1,532 the day before to 1,479 today. There are 100 people in intensive care, five less than the day before.

For seven days, the number of hospitalizations has dropped by 17%.

Regarding vaccination, 15,120 doses have been administered in Quebec in the last 24 hours.

Among those aged 5 and over, 91% received at least one dose of vaccine, 86% received at least two doses and 51% received a third dose.
