The balance sheet is therefore very heavy, 4 dead : a 60-year-old lady from Belgium, a 21-year-old boy, a 19-year-old girl and therefore the teenager.
The driver made a U-turn on the freeway
According to the first elements of the investigation, the 60-year-old lady from Belgium was traveling in the Lille-Paris direction. Arrival at the Fresnes-lès-Montauban tollbooth, she would have turned around to take the A1 in the opposite direction. After a few kilometres, the driver hit a car that was coming in front around 10 p.m. Inside, there were 3 people: a 21-year-old man who was driving, a 19-year-old girl and the 15-year-old teenager were passengers. The 3 deceased young people would be from Hannescamps, a town of 200 inhabitants south of Arras.
