The one who was a weather presenter for years for the TVA channel, Nadège St-Philippe, died Saturday of colorectal cancer at the age of 47.
She joined the network in 2006. In 2011, she was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer, which she battled for several years. She had to suspend her professional activities in December 2021, before receiving chemotherapy treatment for a new cancer she had been diagnosed with.
“A true ray of sunshine, Nadège was known for her great kindness and generosity. For more than fifteen years, it marked our audience and the members of our team, ”said TVA in a press release.
Several public figures were saddened by the disappearance of Ms. St-Philippe. “What sad news. This is a talented young woman who is leaving us much too soon, ”wrote the mayor of Montreal, Valérie Plante.

The leader of the Liberal Party of Quebec, Dominique Anglade, also offered her condolences to the family of Ms. St-Philippe: “How sad. Condolences to the husband, family and loved ones of Nadège. Courage certainly and a lot of love to get through the rest.
