The investigation into the death of Marwan Berrani was closed without further action by the public prosecutor of Villefranche-sur-Saône on the grounds of the absence of an offense, the prosecution indicated on Friday April 19. The body of the actor from “Plus belle la vie” was discovered on October 12 in an uninhabited building in the town of Corcelles-en-Beaujolais (Rhône). He had been missing for more than two months.

The various analyzes carried out are compatible with the hypothesis of a death occurring at the beginning of August 2023 and with “a violent death by hanging, without any evidence to raise suspicion of the intervention of a third party”, indicates the prosecution. Neither medication nor narcotics were found during the toxicological analysis. “The samples available were not sufficient to determine alcoholic impregnation”adds the prosecution.

The actor, made famous by the television series “Plus belle la vie”, who was to appear in the new season of the series in early 2024 on the TF1 channel, had not given any sign of life since the beginning of August. He was then suspected of having hit a 37-year-old woman by car on August 3, shortly after 11 p.m. in Mâcon. The driver then fled after hitting this woman, who was prescribed a 28-day ITT, with fourteen fractures.
