An investigation was opened by the Dunkirk public prosecutor’s office after accusations of violence targeting the brother of young Philippe, who died on April 16 in Grande-Synthe, France Bleu Nord learned on Saturday May 4 from the public prosecutor’s office. The mother of one of the three indicted in the investigation into Philippe’s death denounces an attack on the part of his brother.
The mother claims to have been physically attacked by Philippe’s brother Friday, late in the afternoon, in Grande-Synthe. An investigation was opened by the Dunkirk public prosecutor’s office for “intentional violence without aggravating circumstances”.
Philippe’s brother was placed in police custody, which was then lifted. For the moment, the exact circumstances of this attack remain unclear. According to the Dunkirk public prosecutor’s office, “investigations must continue in order to determine the circumstances of the commission of the facts and in particular the exact nature of the injuries and particularly the possible number of days of temporary incapacity for work”.
