He was one of the most important figures at social parties in Marbella and Paris. The famous businesswoman of French origin Olivia Valère died on Thursday June 9, 2022 in Paris at the age of 75. after being diagnosed with stomach cancer a year ago after his health had seriously deteriorated in recent weeks.

She spent her last days in her Paris home with her family, including her three children, Arnaud, Karen and Xavier. The first two being the fruits of her relationship with her first husband whom she married at the age of 18. As for his youngest, who works as a golf coach, he was born of his union with the prestigious lawyer Phillippe Valère.

Marbella, his city of heart

Olivia Valère will be buried in the coming days in the city of Marbella, as she had requested, where she has lived for much of the past 40 years in a beautiful Andalusian-style house in the Guadalmina area. Her crush on this charming city began in the 80s, when she went there with her friend, the singer Kimera. She was immediately seduced by the atmosphere, the climate and the inhabitants of the city, deciding to abandon her Paris-based nightclub opened in 1981 to open a new one in the Spanish commune.

The latter, who notably had a very close relationship with the businesswoman, and who was one of the key people in her rise as Queen of nightlife in Marbella. “It was he who managed to bring the greats of cinema to Marbella, such as Elizabeth Taylor and George Hamilton, or rich Arab businessmen like Adnan Khashoggi, who organized parties and sumptuous dinners” she recalled in an interview.
