Two years ago, Nick Cordero breathed his last after battling Covid-19 for a long time. Amanda Kloots spoke on Instagram and gave a heartbreaking testimony about a strange dream about her missing husband that turned the course of her life upside down.
Spring 2020. The whole world hangs on the lips of the World Health Organization. Each country awaits its fate. Confinements are increasing, border closures too. In question ? The Covid-19 epidemic, which began in China, is ravaging the world and causing countless deaths. As much among anonymous people as among celebrities. Nick Cordero, 41, was unfortunately one of the first victims of the disease. Hospitalized for long weeks, during which he was plunged into a coma and amputated, the distinguished actor, known on Broadway, finally died after a long and courageous battle. Besides grieving fans, the comedian left behind a wife, Amanda Kloots, and their one-year-old son Elvis.
If life goes on despite the weight of mourning, not a day goes by without Amanda Kloots having a thought for the one to whom she remained married for 3 years. A union full of happiness which she regularly recalls the memories on her Instagram account. This Tuesday July 5 had a very special flavor since it marks the 2 years of the death of Nick Cordero.
It was obvious that Amanda Kloots was going to post a message full of love to mark the anniversary: ”Just two years ago, Elvis and I said goodbye to Nick. It was the most painful day of my life. Since then, there hasn’t been a single moment when I haven’t felt lack. Her smile, her laughter and her presence lit up a room. He loved everyone and he was a golden friend to everyone who knew him.” she wrote alongside a montage of photos and videos of her late husband. But no more question of letting down and letting sadness invade her since the strange dream that a friend had on July 5, 2021 , exactly one year after the death of Nick Cordero.
“We were all at a little party and Nick was there too, happy, beaming. She asked him what he was doing there. And he replied: ‘What are you talking about ? It’s my birthday today ! It’s the only day I can be back to be with all the people I love.’ Hearing that shocked me. A July 5th, Nick is celebrating? Nick is happy? Birth and death have so many similarities.“Since then, Amanda Kloots has promised herself never to be sad again on this day:”I don’t know what’s on the other side of life but clearly he was sending me a message. […] July 5 marks a rebirth for Nick, rather than his death. This idea helps me to be positive and to make this dark day a day of happiness. So I have now decided that the 5th of July will always be a party..” A speech filled with hope that marks the beginning of a new life for her!
