A great athlete, Tom participated in a car race on March 5, 2022, as can be seen on his Instagram account. After all, this passion brought him closer to his dad, who would have liked so much to be able to turn this love into a profession. “My father was a rally driver in the 1950s, my older brother in the 1960s-1970s, and I was his assistantexplained Jean-Pierre Pernaut to the newspaper The Parisian. Tom Pernaut therefore shares this love for motor sports with various members of his family. At 17, he often competes in races and has even already won a few trophies. In June 2020, he was notably on the podium of the Trophée de la Reprises. He also took part, like his half-brother Olivier, in the Andros Trophy, a rallycross-type motor racing championship on ice contested in France since 1990. Regarding the loss of his dad, Tom never found the strength to speak out. He had only commented, with a simple heart, on a photograph shared on Olivier’s Instagram account.
