Daniel Lévi, one of the leading singers of the musical The ten Commandments passed away on Saturday August 6 at the age of 60. The singer had been battling colon cancer since 2019. He had undergone treatment which had caused him to lose many pounds and had recently undergone surgery. For many people he is and will remain the unforgettable interpreter of the title The desire to lovesong written by Pascal Obispo and released in 2000.
He was an immense talent and an example of humility
Upon the announcement of his death, many personalities paid tribute to the interpreter of The desire to love. Starting with Cyril Hanouna who posted this message on his Twitter account: “I am very sad to learn at the moment that Daniel Levi has left us. I think very much of his loved ones. He was an immense talent and an example of humility. We will miss him. My sincere condolences to his family”, he wrote. Journalist Christopher Nunes also posted a message on Twitter along with a photo of Daniel Lévi: “#DanielLevi went to the other side of life. He was all by himself an insolent addition of talents. So many memories colliding. His mind will wander forever on the intimate recesses of our music. Our prayers and thoughts are with his loved ones.”, he wrote. His colleague from Do not touch My TVMaxime Guény also paid tribute to Daniel Lévi on Twitter: “Daniel Levi has left us. Fond memory of our meeting a few months ago on the radio. A generous and talented man. Special thoughts for his wife, family and loved ones”, he wrote. For his part, Kendji Girac posted a photo of Daniel Lévi in an Instagram story: “RIP MR @daniellevi_officiel”, he wrote in the caption of the post.
