This Friday evening, the Marseille firefighters intervened in the metro at Notre-Dame du Mont station (6th arrondissement) to help a young man who had just been stabbed in the chest. His vital prognosis was engaged, he was transported to the Timone hospital where he died that night.

The assault took place this Friday evening, around 8:30 p.m. in the metro at Notre-Dame du Mont station (6th arr).
It all started with an attempted theft of a cellphone from a young woman in the Notre-Dame du Mont metro station in Marseille (6th arr). The latter managed to escape her two attackers with her phone, according to a police source.
The story could have ended there, but an hour later, still according to this police source, this young woman returned to the station accompanied by a young man of 25, who seems to be her companion.
His two attackers are still there, and his companion will try to speak with them.
Unfortunately, a fight starts and one of them stabs him twice in the chest, in front of witnesses and his companion.
The firefighters will bring him first aid and transport him to hospital in critical condition. He died overnight from his injuries.
The perpetrators are on the run.
The investigation was entrusted to the judicial police of Marseille which uses the testimonies of people who witnessed this attack as well as the video surveillance of the metro.
