Sports fans are in mourning this morning and even more rugby lovers. One of the sports stars, the Briton Ricky Bibey has just died while he was in Italy. It was the Italian media who first informed of the disappearance of the former sportsman, aged only 40 and twice winner of the Rugby League Challenge Cup with the Wigan Warriors and St Helens. The latter was staying at the Hotel Continentale in Florence (Italy) and was found dead on Saturday.
According to information from the Italian daily La NazioneRicky Bibey would have been heart attack victim. A 43-year-old woman was with the former rugby player in the hotel room at the time and it was she who gave the alert. When help arrived, the woman in question was badly injured and bleeding profusely. She was quickly transported to the hospital and according to the customers present at the same time as them at the Hotel Continental, many cries were heard coming from their bedroom.
