“Mom, you know very well that I always have a beautiful pen… But now words fail me, Mom. Forgive me. They will come back. I promise,” wrote Kim Cantin Dion.

In a recent Facebook post, she attached a host of photos illustrating joyful moments involving, among others, her mother, Brigitte Dion.

She died Thursday evening during a head-on collision in Saint-Thomas, near Joliette.

The tragedy occurred around 6:15 p.m., when a vehicle left its lane for a still unknown reason on Rang de la Grande-Chaloupe, and found itself in the opposite direction.

This movement caused a collision with a vehicle traveling in the other lane, said the Sûreté du Québec. A third vehicle then hit the other two.

Convenience store

Mme Dion, who lived less than two kilometers away on the same row, was the driver of one of the two vehicles involved in the initial collision, a white Mini Cooper.

The tragedy apparently occurred when the fifty-year-old was on her way to the convenience store for trivial errands. However, as she did not have her wallet, Mme Dion was forced to turn around, according to information obtained by The newspaper.

The accident involving three vehicles occurred on Rang de la Grande-Chaloupe, in Saint-Thomas, in Lanaudière. A niece of Celine Dion, Brigitte Dion, has died.

“I will never really know the exact facts. And it doesn’t matter. But it looks like this,” wrote Kim, her daughter, Newspaper.

The pain is palpable in the words of the latter, who indicated on social networks that she was “confused” since the tragedy. His testimony resulted in nearly 200 messages of sympathy.

“My mom was a little tired, but that wasn’t the cause of her leaving. My mom wants us to remember the beautiful dynamite bomb that she was, she emphasizes. Her energy, her crazy laugh, oh how we could hear you from afar.”
