It was on a road between Nantes and Rennes that a motorist was hit, Saturday, October 30, by the shooting of a hunter. Hospitalized in serious condition, the man died Thursday, November 4 from his injuries. This news caused great emotion in the village of Laillé, in Ille-et-Vilaine.
After discussing with hunters, Mayor Françoise Louapre proposed concrete measures. “They are in favor of half-days without hunting to get closer to the expectations of civil society”, she said at a press conference on Nov. 4. The national hunting federation has not yet taken an official position on these proposals. She offered her condolences to the relatives of the deceased motorist. The hunter was indicted for manslaughter during a hunting action. He was placed under judicial supervision with a ban on carrying a weapon.
