The woman who allegedly struck another motorist with whom she had just had a collision before fleeing last week in Laval, was finally arrested after five days on the run.

The 25-year-old suspect was pinned Tuesday evening around 7:30 p.m., in the Rivière-des-Prairies district, in eastern Montreal.
“She was arrested while she was on the move,” said Lieutenant Geneviève Major, spokesperson for the Laval police.
The SPVM’s tactical intervention group, which specializes in high-risk arrests, took part in the operation.
According to our information, the young woman’s vehicle had been seized earlier in the day.
Her identity has not been revealed as she has not yet appeared in court. She could face Wednesday at the Laval courthouse on charges of hit and run causing death and manslaughter.
The facts of which the woman is accused occurred on the morning of September 15, on the service road of Highway 15 North, in Laval.
The woman was allegedly involved in a slight collision with the vehicle of Stéphane Taillon, 53 years old. After the impact, Mr. Taillon got out of his car and was fatally struck by the other vehicle in what looked like an extreme case of road rage.
Very seriously injured, Stéphane Taillon had been rushed to hospital, where he passed away 24 hours later.
In an interview with the Journal de Montréal on the day of the tragedy, the victim’s son, Alexandre Taillon, had implored the person responsible to go to the police so that “justice be done”, adding that this event had upset his family in entire.
