43,000 hectares and thousands of houses went up in smoke in the Valparaiso region, in Chile, where a state of exception has just been declared. Deadly fires, which have killed more than 64 people, have been raging in the country for several days. Flames several dozen meters high, fanned by the wind and the heatwave, burn everything in their path.
Between 3,000 and 6,000 houses burned
