(Altenberg) Canada captured bronze in the two-man bobsleigh at the World Cup in Altenberg, Germany.
Christine de Bruin and Kristen Bujnowski completed the event in one minute and 54.45 seconds. The Canadians were edged out by American Kaillie Humphries, who was perfect in two races this weekend.
Humphries and her teammate Kaysha Love clocked a time of 1: 54.10. Humphries has thus signed its 28e Career victory on the World Cup circuit, and it came three days after she obtained U.S. citizenship – and the day after her monobob victory.
It was also Love’s first World Cup medal, on his second career start.
Germans Laura Nolte and Deborah Levi separated the American and Canadian crews with a time of 1: 54.14.
The other Canadian crew, consisting of Melissa Lotholz and Sara Villani, resulted in the 11e echelon, 1.21 seconds from Humphries.
