The Dutch have secured their place in the Davis Cup Finals next fall, while Canada will play a World Group I play-off in September.
The representatives of the maple leaf could not turn the tide against their opponents, who had taken control 2-0 the day before on the clay courts of the Sportcampus Zuiderpak in The Hague.
Ontarians Brayden Schnur and Peter Polansky first lost 7-5, 6-2 in doubles to Wesley Koolhof and Matwe Middelkoop.
