Restaurateur David McMillan (Joe Beef, Liverpool House) announced on Wednesday daily Montreal Gazette that he was leaving the industry.
The internationally renowned chef said he was angry and exhausted. Mr. McMillan has worked in the restaurant business for over 30 years. Before selling his shares, the latter was co-owner of restaurant Joe Beef, Liverpool House, Vin Papillon, Vinette, as well as McKiernan.
In an interview with Press in April 2020, David McMillan confided that the pandemic has eaten away a good part of his savings made over the years.
Joined by The Press, Mr. McMillan declined to comment on his departure.
