Quebec singer David Latulippe will play the character of Zéro Janvier in the new version of the musical starmania which will be presented in Paris from November 8.

“I am super excited and motivated to present this wonderful show,” he announced on his social networks on Friday.
That same evening, the troupe of starmania began the run-in of the long-awaited return of the musical to Nice. The show will take place next month at the Grande Seine of La Seine Musicale, in Paris, until January, to finally go on tour across France.
Lending his features to the character embodied by Claude Dubois in the original version, David Latulippe will be responsible for delivering night after night immortal titles from the work of Luc Plamondon and Michel Berger, in particular The Businessman’s Blues and Tonight we dance in Naziland.
Three other Quebecers
On stage, he will rub shoulders with Quebecer Miriam Baghdassarian (revealed at The voice)who will defend the role of Sadia (played by Nanette Workman in the original version).
William Cloutier will be the understudy of the character of Johnny Rockfort for certain performances. He will “occasionally” replace his main performer, the French singer Côme, said the Quebecer on his Instagram account. A fourth Quebecer, Gabrielle Lapointe, will play Cristal, alternating with Moroccan singer Lilya Adad.
Created in 1979 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, the musical starmania was presented around the world, in both French and English. Over the years, his titles have been performed by Tom Jones, Cyndi Lauper, Celine Dion, Kim Carnes and other Ronnie Spectors. The show is this time directed by Thomas Jolly with choreography revised by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
No performance is currently planned in Quebec.
