The decision finally fell this Sunday for the family of Alexia Daval: according to justice, her parents and her sister are indeed the only heirs of the young woman and can therefore fully recover the shares of the house where she lived during several years with her husband, and assassin, Jonathan Daval. The latter, who holds his share, plus that of his wife which he had inherited before confessing to the murder, will have to sell what he owns of the house to his ex-in-laws.
Estimated at 170,000 euros, the pavilion will therefore belong entirely to the Fouillot family, who will be paid a large part of the sum, since this money will be used to pay the damages (160,000 euros) that their former son-in-law owes them according to his conviction. at the seats. The latter, in prison for 25 years, did not contest the court decision.

However, according to the law, he cannot in fact inherit from a person he has murdered and the shares therefore logically went to the family of the victim, violently killed after a dispute in the couple on the night of October 27 to 28, 2017.
Two days later, the disappearance of the young woman had been reported by her husband, who had explained that she had gone for a jog and had never returned. Found dead, she had been mourned by a large part of France and in particular by Jonathan Daval, in tears with his parents-in-law at the funeral. But a few months later, as police suspicions grew, he ended up confessing that he was responsible for the death and the scene.
After several weeks of trial, during which the entire Daval family wanted 800,000 euros in damages, he was finally sentenced to 160,000 euros, to be paid to the parents and sister of his victim as well as 25 years. of confinement.
