Isabelle and Jean-Pierre Fouillot publish at Robert Laffont a book-tribute to Alexia Daval, Alexia, our daughter. On the set of C to You on October 28, the couple returned with great emotion to the horrific story that turned their lives upside down. Faced with Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine, Isabelle and Jean-Pierre Fouillot spoke the strange personality of their son-in-law and murderer of their daughter, Jonathann Daval, who reported the disappearance of his wife on October 27, 2017. The latter, who was posing as a victim, lived for three months at the home of his parents-in-law, just after having committed his murder: a painful memory for the couple, who feel duped.
“He lied while accusing us”, said Isabelle Fouillot, moved. “At no time did we doubt Jonathann, we didn’t want him to sink, we forgot our pain to comfort him“, added her husband, who recounted their almost fusional relationship with Jonathann Daval, shortly before he confessed his crime. “We are under control, we think that to do him good, at no time do we imagine that he has something to do with the murder of Alexia”, advances Jean-Pierre Fouillot.
“He put small stones in our heads to make us believe he was innocent and that he had nothing to do with the murder. He even accused a childhood friend. He said he would have had an affair with Alexia “, confided the mother of the deceased. Before adding: “He used to call me ‘mom’ … if it’s not perversity I don’t know what knows “.
“You almost feel guilty that you haven’t seen his duplicity? He was playing the ideal son-in-law …”, commented Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine. “I saw that Alexia loved him and always had a lot of sweet words for her. He seemed very present.”, explained Isabelle Fouillot. “He was caring. When we saw them, it was just happiness so we didn’t worry.”, added Jean-Pierre Fouillot, her husband. “We had to dislike him”, Alexia Daval’s mother concluded. The parents of the deceased have said they will never leave the town of Gray, where their child is now resting. Jonathann Daval is serving his sentence in Dijon remand center. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison for murder and is in solitary confinement in Dijon prison.
