Dany Boon reveals that Noé, the son he had with Judith Godrèche, was assaulted after the success of “Ch’tis”

This Thursday, September 15, at the microphone of Léa Salamé on France Inter, Dany Boon and Line Renaud were invited to talk about their latest film collaboration: “A beautiful race”. A feature film which will be released in theaters on September 21. This film tinged with nostalgia and almost filial love brings together the two artists from Armentières who never leave each other… Directed by Christian Carion, the story is that of Madeleine, a 92-year-old Parisian, who leaves by taxi for her retirement home where she plans to spend her last days. But on the way, taken by melancholy, she asks her driver, played by Dany Boon, to make detours to see, one last time, the places that have marked her life.

My son “was getting pissed off”

A film full of emotion where we find the complicity of its two actors since 2008 and the considerable success of “Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis”, which scores 20,489,303 admissions on the clock. The opportunity for Dany Boon to return to this unexpected triumph which propelled him overnight into the big leagues but whose consequences were not easy for those close to him. In particular for his son Noé “who is 23 today” but who, at the time was only 9 and who had to be “changed schools three times in the year following the release of Ch ’tis, because he was being pissed off.” This boy, whom he had with the actress Judith Godrèche in 1999, experienced the other side of the coin by being victims of attacks in the school environment, “sometimes even” from his teachers! “It was complicated (…) He returned to the high school where he was before.” he explains.
The actor admits to having become “a kind of product”
The actor says he had to learn to “accept more violent criticism” when he became despite himself “a kind of product” whose slightest words “had a stronger impact” than before. Overbooked, Dany Boon is also currently filming his next comedy “La vie pour de vrai” which should be released in the spring of 2023 with another faithful friend in the profession… Kad Merad, already present of course in “les Ch’tis”. Finding his faithful traveling companions on film sets is surely a serene way for Dany Boon to work in friendship and to protect himself from bad experiences… he has already given!
