Danty back in the middle, Moefana slips to the wing for day three of the Six Nations Tournament

The XV of France must negotiate a perilous trip to Murrayfield, Saturday February 26 (to follow on France 2 and france.tv), Scottish lair where it has not won in the Six Nations Tournament since 2016. It remains on three matches for so many defeats. The group concocted by Fabien Galthié and his staff, and unveiled on Thursday February 24, hopes to end this series and extend his Grand Slam dream. To do this, the victorious team of Ireland (30-24) was renewed in large widths.

Note all the same the return of the swift Jonathan Danty, who had missed the match against Ireland due to an ankle injury, in the center. He will be associated with the indestructible defense leader Gaël Fickou. After replacing Danty against Ireland, the Bordelo-Béglais, Yoram Moefana, is this time shifted to the wing to make up for the absence of Gabin Villière (sinus fracture). Not an easy task as the winger with the legs of fire and a model of courage left his mark on the first two days (3 tries).

A choice had to be made between Yoram Moefana and Matthis Lebel on the wing. Matthis is a specialist in the position and also does very good training with us, but we have chosen a strong profile against a team that offers very physical three-quarters and a very direct game around Finn Russell and in particular with two very capable wingers.

In front, nothing moves. The impressive third line against the Clover XV, Cros-Alldritt-Jelonch, is again in demand, while Cameron Woki is once again repositioned in the second line alongside Paul Willemse. They will be opposed to a package of Scottish forwards largely overhauled following a rain of packages which we will nevertheless have to be wary of.

The XV of France against Scotland:

Jaminet – Penaud, Danty, Fickou, Moefana – (o) Ntamack, (m) Dupont (cap) – Alldritt, Cros, Jelonch- Willemse, Woki – Atonio, Marchand, Baille.

Finishers: Mauvaka, Gros, Bamba, Taofifenua, Flament, Cretin, Lucu, Ramos
