Absher, a six-foot-three, 180-pound athlete, caught five passes for 90 yards in five games, including three as a starter with the Montreal squad in 2021.

The 28-year-old wide receiver also returned five punts for 34 yards.

In two seasons with the Alouettes, the former Glenville State College Pioneer caught 13 passes for 174 yards, in addition to scoring a major in seven games.

“We are delighted to have Dante back with us in 2022. Apart from being talented, he has a great personality which is appreciated by everyone in the dressing room. He will be called upon to take on an even more important role with us next season and we know he will answer the call,” Alouettes general manager Danny Maciocia said in a statement.
