The Laval Rocket announced the signing of forward Danick Martel on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old athlete has signed a one-season, one-part agreement with the Montreal Canadiens.
Martel said a few weeks ago that he wanted to stay on the North Shore and his wish was granted.
He had been the team’s leading scorer and top scorer in the playoffs with 15 points, including 9 goals.
This will be his second season with the Rocket. Previously, he had played in the organization of the Philadelphia Flyers and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
