Dancing with the stars: A historic first for a candidate, revelations…

It’s official, Dance with the stars returns on September 9 on TF1 and the official cast has been revealed. Twelve personalities will wiggle their hips on the famous parquet floor, including Clémence Castel, star of Koh-Lanta and new recruit of Fort Boyard. The Parisian just made a revelation about his partner, a woman.

Clémence Castel will face Anggun, Amandine Petit (Miss France 2021), Eva (formerly Eva Queen, sister of Jazz), Carla Lazzari (French representative at Eurovision Junior 2019) and Léa Elui (11.4 million subscribers on Instagram) on the women’s side. Among the men, she will be the competitor of Billy Crawford, David Douillet, Florent Peyre, Theo Fernandez (Les Tuches), Thomas da Costa (Here it all starts) and Stéphane Lega (star on TikTok). The outstanding sportswoman will have the particularity of dancing with a woman, a first in the famous dance show.

Last year, singer Bilal Hassani, who this year became a juror in DALS, had danced with a man, Jordan Mouillerac, and together they had conquered the viewers. So the show continues to evolve with society. For the moment, we do not know with which dancer she will team up but there is no doubt that this choice of production must delight her.

In real life, Clémence Castel is the mother of two children (Louis, born in December 2010, and Marin, born in October 2014), from her past relationship with Mathieu Johann who became known thanks to the star Academy. In 2021, she made her coming out and introduced his companion Marie. “A picture is worth a thousand words. About two years ago I met Marie, who turned my life upside down and who makes me so happy today. (…) A love story as unexpected as it is beautiful and incredible, which shook up everything I thought I knew about myself…“, she said. With Marie, she then settled down and the whole little family gets along wonderfully. There is no doubt that Clémence Castel’s companion will be her first fan and that her sons will not be far away to applaud her performance in Dance with the stars.
