Marie Denigot was revealed to the general public in 2016, during season 7 of Dance with the stars. For her first adventure, she had walked the floor with comedian Artus. Together, they climbed to the final but were eliminated against Camille Lou and Grégoire Lyonnet and Laurent Maistret and Denitsa Ikonomova (the winners). The following season, she made the same journey with singer and actor Lenni-Kim. They lost to Agustin Galiana and Candice Pascal. But the following year, she was dropped and hasn’t made a comeback since.
However, it should have been part of season 12 broadcast next fall. But something unexpected came to upset everything as she confided on Instagram. “This summer I should have announced my return to @dals_tf1. Everything was ready for me to come back to the show after a 2-season break, everything was in place with regard to my dance school and my competitions. I was delighted to meet you and return every week to the floor of the show that changed my life in 2016. Unfortunately the celebrity with whom I was to pair, who lives abroad, could not arrive in France due to important family problems, a few days before the start of training“, she first wrote. Marie Denigot then clarified that she was “terribly disappointed“but that health came first.
“The production was extremely kind to me following this last-minute change, and I thank them very much for trusting me again this year and for entrusting me with a world-famous star for this season. It’s only gone, and who knows, maybe I’ll make a little visit to the set during the season, so be careful.
