Damien Comolli, president of the Toulouse football club, TFC, was sanctioned on Wednesday by the disciplinary committee of the LFP (Professional Football League), reports France Bleu Occitanie this Thursday. Damien Comolli is suspended for three matches for comments deemed inappropriate after TFC’s defeat in Nice on November 26.
During the match, the referee refused a Toulouse goal, a decision deemed unfair by the president of the TFC. His sentence takes effect from January 16, after the Violets meet in Metz on January 14.
Returned to the elite in 2022, after missing accession by nothing in 2021, the club experienced a rapid rise with victory in the Coupe de France last year. However, this year, the sporting record is much slimmer, with only two victories in 15 days.
