(Vancouver) Forward Dakota Joshua agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday.
The agreement has an average annual value of $3.25 million.
A fifth-round pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2014, Joshua had a breakthrough last season with 18 goals and 32 points in 63 games.
During the playoffs, the 28-year-old American added four goals and eight points in 13 games.
“Dakota had a great season and made great progress,” Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin said in a press release.
“We really like his size (six feet three and 206 pounds), his speed and his robust side. He fits well into our system, and I look forward to seeing him continue to develop. »
