While the rumor had spread like wildfire following Thomas Jolly’s appearance on the airwaves of France Inter Tuesday October 24, 2023, the artistic director and major organizer of the opening and closing ceremonies of the next Paralympic Olympic Games finally spoke via his X account (formerly Twitter) to put an end to these rumors.
“My comments were confusing and generated a lot of expectations. I must clarify: After discussing a possible presence at the ceremony, the group’s decision is not to participate. I respect this decision and apologize of the ambiguity of my words”,he clarified on Wednesday October 25, 2023.

While Internet users experienced an emotional lift when they learned that the group Daft Punk was going to reform for the opening ceremony, then ultimately no, a singer decided to speak. A few moments after the publication of Thomas Jolly’s tweet, singer Colonel Reyel shared a photo of himself completely transformed to propose his candidacy!
