Just four years ago, Rayane Bensetti lost the pillar of her life to Charcot’s disease at the age of 54. A drama from which the former companion of Denitsa Ikonomova never recovered. A few days ago, he still paid him a moving tribute on his Instagram account: “Time passes so quickly but nothing changes… You will remain in my head and in my heart in the first place my Papounet“.
At the time, Rayane Bensetti was in the midst of promoting a comedy alongside Thierry Lhermitte, making the ordeal of mourning which he was faced with even more difficult. Still upset by the disappearance of his dad, Rayane Bensetti had even burst into tears on the set of The secret song in 2021, noting that his uncle, brother of his father, had surprised him by playing a piece of trumpet. Rayane Bensetti had then joined him on stage, realizing the dream that his father had never been able to see come true: “My father dreamed of seeing us together on stage, and I think he would have been the happiest. […] To have seen my uncle from behind among the dancers was unreal for me.
