Cyril Hanouna columnist victim of tear gas attack in her car

Sunday, June 19 will take place the second round of the legislative elections. NUPES candidate in the 5th district (Bobigny, Drancy, Le Bourget) of Seine-Saint-Denis, Raquel Garrido intends to put all her chances on her side to win! But this Thursday, June 19, the latter unveiled a video that caused a stir on Twitter. In a small text preceding the images, the ex-columnist of Balance Your Postprogram hosted by Cyril Hanouna on C8indicates that “two Jean-Christophe Lagarde activists asked this individual to gas (his) car“, while she was campaigning.

“We have been taken care of. We are filing a complaint. I continue my campaign to beat Lagarde at the polls”, she added. NUPES activists were also assaulted when they wanted to buy water after the attack, again according to the statements of Raquel Garrido and a rebellious activist who also posted a video on Twitter. Jean-Christophe Lagarde (UDI), his opponent, disputed these accusations. “It’s a lot of coffee to say that I’m responsible. It’s a 13-14 year old who attacks Ms. Garrido, nothing to do with my activists“, he told theAFP before adding that he was waiting “that the police clarify this matter which has nothing to do with the campaign“.

For his part, Jean-Luc Mélenchon quickly reacted to this incident: “Two comrades abused, gassed and beaten in Drancy. Raquel Garrido’s team is the victim of the violence of the Macronist majority. It goes too far. The sectarian hatred and the verbal excesses of the friends of Castaner and Montchalin are unbearable”.

As a reminder, in the first round of the legislative elections, the companion of Alexis Corbière came out on top with the NUPES. His score? Nearly 38% of the votes. His opponent, the president of the UDI Jean-Christophe Lagarde, came second with 33.4% of the votes cast. The latter, who has been in this constituency for 20 years, is seeking a fifth term.
