A group of cyclists, a family on bike according to the Var firefighters, was hit this Friday noon by at least one car Route du Plan-de-la-Tour in Sainte-Maxime. They were according to the first information crossing the road at a place where there is work. Three cyclists are seriously injured, the fourth is touched more lightly. Two car drivers also suffered minor injuries.
The firefighters have committed large resources: five ambulances, a roadside rescue vehicle, a group leader and two column leaders, i.e. 21 Firefighters. The SMUR of Saint-Tropez is also involved. A second medical team is requested by the commander of the relief operations.
Traffic is interrupted on this road.
