A major seizure of contraband cigarettes. On the night of Wednesday 19 to Thursday 20 October, the Ax les Thermes customs brigade sets up controls in Tarascon sur Ariège.
When around 4 am, they decide to control a vehicle at their height with two people on board. The latter refuse to comply with the control and try to force the passage.
The police then engage in a chase with them. The suspect vehicle then engages in a 2×2 lane, a race which ends on a central median which they have collided with.
The two individuals managed to escape on foot. Once the damaged car has been checked, customs discover 440 cartons of cigarettes from Andorra and to the Toulouse metropolitan area.
