This is the great return of the glass locker. It is now possible to bring back jars, bottles and other containers after use.
The practice dates for some from another time, that of bringing back their jars, bottles and other containers after use. The locker has made a comeback in recent months. In a department of a supermarket in Montesson (Yvelines), the items cost more to buy, but customers are reimbursed a few tens of cents once the containers are brought back to the store entrance.
There is nothing to convince consumers. “It doesn’t inspire me at all, I do extra work for which I don’t get paid. It’s like sorting garbage. Ecology is good, but for poets only”says a man. “For me, it’s essential, especially at this time”judges another person. “For the bottles, it would be interesting, because we throw away some that could be reused”abounds a man. In total, up to 2,000 returns per month are recorded for the brand.
