Political columnist Luc Lavoie has overcome the cancer that afflicted him and now intends to return to the air next week.
“The nightmare is over,” exclaimed the former political adviser and journalist on his Facebook account on Tuesday evening.
“My doctors told me this lunchtime that my treatments and my surgery had been a complete success. My convalescence is also over and I will be back on the air next week, ”he continued, thanking his doctors and the Internet users who have encouraged him over the past few months.
The panelist for the program “La Joute”, at LCN, announced last September that he had to take a step back to treat cancer which he had been diagnosed with several weeks earlier.
“Medicine has evolved a lot in recent years, which allows me to dream of a complete cure. But before getting there, I have many months left to devote all my energies to this fight,” explained Mr. Lavoie.
The news of the columnist’s recovery spread like wildfire on social networks in the evening, with hundreds of Internet users sending their congratulations to the columnist.
