(Vancouver) Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas and Russia’s Andrey Rublev will be part of captain Bjorn Borg’s European squad at the Laver Cup later this year in Vancouver.
Tsitsipas, fifth in the world ranking, will participate in this competition for the fourth time, while Rublev, sixth in the world, will be in his second participation.
Earlier this week, Team World announced that Americans Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe have joined Canadian Félix Auger-Aliassime in captain John McEnroe’s roster.
All three players took part in the 2022 edition of the Laver Cup, in London, when Team World defeated Team Europe in Roger Federer’s last career tournament.
This year, the Laver Cup will take place September 22-24 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. Each team has a total of six players.
The three highest ranked players from each team as of the Monday after Wimbledon are guaranteed to receive an invitation to the tournament. The other three players are picks at the captains’ discretion.
