In art centers

Gaspé artist fascinated by the beluga and worried about its survival, Maryse Goudreau is exhibiting her works until July 22 at the Foreman Art Gallery of Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke. In the eye of the beluga will particularly appeal to young audiences.

Arsenal puts the spotlight on Sabrina Ratté, a formidable digital artist. Until August 13, Specular futures offers 18 digital works. A virtual world to discover.

The Salle Alfred-Pellan, in Laval, presents two exhibitions that explore questions of identity: The weight of our mythsby Surabhi Ghosh, on the divisions that separate us from each other, and Resurgencesby Sarah Madgin, a photographic work on memory based on family images.

La Guilde offers, until July 16, works by 20 Inuit artists, including Shuvinai Ashoona, Itee Pootoogook, Ningiukulu Teevee, Nicotye Samayualie, Darcie Bernhardt and Kablusiak, on the themes of interior spaces and northern life.

In Saint-Hyacinthe, Expression offers the digital art exhibition Other landscapescurated by William Jourdain, with Myriam Boucher (Quebec), Thomas Köner (Germany), Marilou Lyonnais Archambault (Quebec) and Stefan Paulus (Switzerland).

The Phi Center will broadcast, from 1er august, Sex, desires and dataa (paying) tour that invites the public to get out of their comfort zone and to question the codes that influence our sexualities… Quite a program!

The paintings of the artist Étienne Côté (1959-2022), born in Saint-Laurent, are exhibited outdoors all summer long on Décarie Boulevard, from Place Rodolphe-Rousseau to Parc Beaudet.

In addition, thanks to an initiative of Underground Art, Ubisoft Montreal has been welcoming since May, on its facade (at the corner of Saint-Viateur and Saint-Dominique streets), a solo by Isabelle Lapierre.

Projection Example Osmosis

Atelier Silex and its Cobalt digital studio present OsmosisA mapping video on three facades of the Manoir de Tonnancour of the Galerie d’art du Parc, in Trois-Rivières, from June 29 to July 9, as soon as night falls. Note that the Biennale internationale d’estampe de Trois-Rivières is back on June 17 in five exhibition venues, including Atelier Silex.

Are you going to Mexico this summer? The Montreal gallery Occurrence is organizing a collective exhibition there until June 18 in Guadalajara, then until September 8, at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Querétaro, three hours north of Mexico City. The exhibition Territories under observationcurated by gallery owner Lili Michaud, includes works by Eruoma Awashish, Michel Boulanger, Renée Duval, Jessica Houston, Guy Laramée, Yoanis Menge, Normand Rajotte and Anne Ramsden.
