Jacquot from Nantes on Tënk
The documentary site Tënk ends the year on a high note with the launch of the feature film Jacquot from Nantes, by Agnès Varda. In this work of nearly two hours, the great filmmaker retraces the childhood and adolescence of her husband Jacques Demy. The film recalls the attraction Demy had for the cinema at a very young age. In addition, Mme Varda draws parallels between sources of inspiration (fantastic characters, the city of Nantes, Demy’s parents) and some of his films such Lola and Donkey Skin.
