Walk in pairs with Walking: Holding

The Prospero Theater launches its 2022-2023 season with an ambulatory show deployed in the Centre-Sud district. In Walking: Holding, by Scottish artist Rosana Cade, the solo viewer is invited to walk in public, hand in hand, with strangers. The latter are of different ages, genders, social backgrounds or even cultural and sexual identities, but all have a piece of humanity to share. A 40-minute relay walk that allows you to enter the world of six Montrealers and, perhaps, to challenge prejudices. Until September 11.

Wild Things at MTelus

The beasts of the scene that are Choses Sauvages have not performed in a Montreal hall since November 2019. We must therefore expect an electric evening as possible from the sextet which, in only two albums, has established itself as the master of dance and partying in Quebec. Choses Sauvages will burn the stage of the MTelus on September 7, with the incandescent Laurence-Anne opening for it.

The MEG emerging electronic music festival continues until September 5 at Parc Jean-Drapeau and the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT). For his 23e edition, it will offer outdoor and indoor performances by local, Canadian and international artists. American DJs Dillon Francis and Durante were the first to hit the MEG stage with sets outside at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Friday. Montrealer Étienne Dufresne, French rapper Hugo TSR, Berliner Cinthie and Montreal DJ Mistress Barbara are also on the festival’s lineup. The duo Tinlicker and Sara Landry will close the edition at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Monday.
